Over 33.2 million people in the world are living with HIV/AIDS. About 68% of the victims dwell in Sub-Saharan Africa of which Ghana is part. HIV/AIDS prevalence rate in Ghana stands at 1.9% in recent times. The Western Region however is believed to have a prevalence rate of 3.2%.

 

Much more higher than the national figure, remember we are in Western Region. We are all at risk of being infected. Let us avoid all risky behaviours. We must commit ourselves to Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT). We must not allow the pandemic to destroy us, our wives, our children and friends.
