Management expressed gratitude to 30 best workers on wednessday December 22, 2010 for their outstanding performances in the year 2010. According to the Estates Manager, Mr.Thierry Cauchy, the awards were in recognition of the role each of them played in their various areas of operation. He said this during the Company's annual Awards day,which is a day by Management to salute and honour workers who have excelled in their various areas of endeavor. Prior to the presentation of the awards Mr. Cauchy gave an overview of how  the company fared in the year.Some of the areas he touched on were Production,Nursery,Outgrowers, and Factory.According to him Production was able to achieve only 91% of their target because of issues with vacant task, incomplete task, and poor quality tapping among others.The Nurseryb achieved 100% of their targets and for the first time since Mr. Cauchy joined GREL ,"Budding Targets were achieved". The Outgrowers Unit was able to meet all its target and were also able to produce 5000 tonnes in the year,which is half of what GREL produce.Additionally the Outgrowers planted over 4000 hectares of land and in two years may plant more than the total size of GREL

One area of concern to Management and which must be of great concern to all of us is safety. This year witnessed a lot of serious accidents and, we are all encouraged to do all we can to reduce the  accidents to the barest minimum.

Mr.Cauchy congratulated all especially the award winners and expresses the hope that the award winners appreciate what the company had given them. The first from each category received a Refrigerator.The second category winners received a set of 21 inches colour television and, the third winners were given sound systems.
